Washington State Cherries Coming on Strong

Northwest Cherries packed in Wenatchee,WA.Washington State Cherries are in full swing. The weather has been ideal and the volume is predicted to be 16 to 18 million boxes . Chelan and Tieton varieties are in production and Bings will be starting around June 23 in the early districts.
Promotions have been set for all of the month of July and supplies will be plentiful barring any rain. Keep in mind Washington State has been without rain for 27 days in many areas. Many cities have set new records for the lack of rain for this time of year in Western Washington. It could be an issue the next coming weeks, with a chance of some rain in the forecast next week in the several of the cherry districts in Eastern Washington.
